Following the work of siege engineers over the preceding weeks ser Tyon Cray's forces collapsed a section of Bayglen Castle where it met Brightdocks, Bayglen, creating a breach that allowed his forces there to storm the castle from the South East while the forces under the command of ser Astris Conklyn brought ladders and rams to the walls on the other side.
The battle raged for several hours, finally ending when the remaining forces of House Foxworth of Fairstrand arrived at the docks, providing fresh energy to the revolutionary forces and opening the way for ser Tyon to enter the castle itself.
Ser Cadder Gaunt, heir to The Gaunt Duchy, died in the fighting to enter the castle.
Queen Malina Somercrag was killed by ser Tyon Cray, ending House Somercrag of Bayglen's reign over The Kingdom of Somercrag.
