The night that ser Allon Stormborn's Caravan to High Hill camped at the foot of The Witwell Mountains, The King's Eye plumetted from the night sky, arcing over the peaks.
The next morning, as they reached a fork in the narrow pass between the mountains toward Baycotte's frozen shore, they were confronted by a large number of soldiers in the livery of House Greydall of The Peak, led by ser Conor Byt, the Lord of the nearby castle of Houndstooth. The knight delivered a message from ser Prestan Greydall that they were to see ser Allon and his party clear not only of The Witwells but of any lands that The Kingdom of Somercrag held a legal claim to - which included Lionsguard, the nearby village where Allon had planned to rendesvous with any allies who might be coming to join him. Finally, the term's of Allon's crossing also included the instruction that once he had quit these lands, any attempt to return to Somercrag would be treated as any other foreign army would be.
