Abandoned Mine

Deepspike Mine was abandoned in 525 CY, after a catastrophic collapse that killed over 300 miners.
It was later purchased by Balabar Smenk. Locals rumour that he stashes the bodies of his enemies in there.

Alterations

When Smenk purchased the property, he installed a heavy wooden door over the entrance. It is locked with a massive padlock, and his goons are never far from it.

Diamond Lake

A small mining settlement in the Cairn Hills, Diamond Lake's eponymous lake became too polluted to swim or fish in long ago. The southern end of the town is similarly delapidated, while the wealthy mine managers live opulently in their manors on the northern side of the Vein.
