Dapple Woods

The Dapple Woods lie under control of Furyondy and grows on the both side of the Velverdyva River. The forest is home to some 800 woodsmen, loggers, hunter and trappers. There is also some 300 milita troops stationed there. The bugbears that used the call Dapple Woods as home are hunted to extinction. Black bears, wild dogs, poisonous snakes, and giant porcupines are the only real threats left.
This woodland is a major resource for Furyondy, which makes extensive use of its timber. Good-quality ipp, yarpick, and bronzewood are brought out steadily, and game is still fairly plentiful.
Ships on the Velverdyva often put in at small, free-spirited shore villages in the woods at night, if they don’t stop at the port of Kisail, upriver.
