Daki
A Daki is sort of a combination of a drum and bass. It tends to have tanned animal fur over a semi-hollow, cylindrical, wooden base, with strings holding the hide and going around the base to tie together at the bottom. The entire daki can come in all different sizes and colors, along with different materials, but the overall shape and structure of it stays the same.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
There are normally thick strings around the edges of the tanned hide that end up together at the bottom side of the semi-hollow wooden base, being tied up together. Each string has a different thickness, but they never get smaller than 1.27cm. Due to all this, the hide can be smacked to produce a slight boom, and the strings on the side can be tugged to create a different noise. Depending on where the wielder smacks it, a different sort of sound comes out.
