The Root of the Bloom

The desire of The Root is to gain knowledge on the beginnings of their faith in The Eternal Resting Flower. They place an incredibly high value on the holy places of their faith, such as The Ruins of the Icebloom which is rumoured to be the place where the Flower and Chill first met the elves of The Blooming Forest. Using deep, deep meditation they try to commune with the spirits of Flowers past in search of the answers to their questions of the beginning.

History

The Root has initially started by Master Tiibanil, the husband of the Flower of his generation. The Flower was plagued by horrid nightmares, which she attributed to a past life of the Flower, perhaps The Life of the Flower (that is, the life of the deity istelf). When these dreams drovehis beloved into a deep despair he made the pilgrimage to The Ruins of the Icebloom to seek guidance on how best to aid her. It was there that he recieved a vision from the deity itself, and not one if its reincarnations. While he was ultimately unsuccessful in helping his wife to recover, this vision led him to establish The Root to continue seeking answers as to why the Flower recieves visions and what they mean.

Other memebers of The Flower Reincarnate who also sought the answers of their faith's origins joined Master Tiibanil, forming the official order and choosing the ruins as their home. This was the first time a ground of the Flower's followers had ever split from the community located in The Village of Iire.

Initially this division was met with disdain from the community, and condemned by the 4 Elders. The Root lived as outcasts for a number of years, until the Flower of the next generation was reborn and she and the Chill sought to reunite the people. The Flower and the Chill ventured to the home of the Root to seek to reunite the serperated faction, however they returned to Iire alone, though noteably did not appear to be saddened or defeated by this.
