Locations
Geography
Originally a hollow (well, honeycombed and material-rich) planetoid.
Ephemera is about 1/3 its estimated original mass. The remaining 2/3 of the planet, including its entire core, have been destroyed. As a result, Ephemera is shaped roughly like an apple core. It is surrounded by a vast astroid belt, consisting of Ephemera's lost mass. It is closely orbited by several artificial satellites, with irregular programmed courses.
Ecosystem
Subterranean ecosystem supports a vibrant ecosystem of phosphorescent mushrooms, semi-aware gems, Bioluminescent flora, gruekin, luminescent fungi.
Surface is continually ravaged by toxic magic clouds. Infernals thrive here because of evolved immunities, but most materials must be negotiated through interdimensional trade.
