First Archon
First Archon is the hereditary rank given to the most powerful wizard of House Udaku. There can only be one First Archon, and in situations where the both spouses at the head of House Udaku are as strong as each other, the title of First Archon goes to the elder of the two. The spouse of the First Archon assumes the title of Archon - if they are powerful enough to assume the role - although they are addressed similarly to their spouse. If they are not, they are awarded the title of Emperor/ess consort.
For all intent and purpose, the First Archon is the Emperor or Empress of Halruaal and is invested with supreme executive power over the land. They can rule by decree, set laws, reward titles and command troop. Unlike an Archon, the First Archon can remove the title of any noble, from any region (minus the title of Archon from the head of the other seven Houses). Any titles they give can either be for the Heartlands region, or the region of birth for the individual.
