Chem'i Yunri
The Chem'i Yunri is a puppet kingdom of the Kich Mepyukk, acting as the empire's stake in Haraxim and in the continent's Xumil trade. Having been the region from which many of the Utor, including much of the current Kich nobility, fled over seven centuries ago, the Chem'i Yunri is home to many close allies and relatives of the Kich nobility. Thus, the Chem'i Yunri pledged themselves as the subjects of the Kich Mepyukk nearly five hundred years ago, aiming to solidify the connection between the two kingdoms and create a near permanent alliance. The Chem'i Yunri itself had formed after the Utor diaspora, having been established by remnants of Utor civilization in Haraxim. After the Wellspring's alteration of Haraxim, the continent was embroiled in bitter and lawless conflict which lasted over a century and saw various kingdoms, cults, and mercenary groups rise in power and fall from grace due to the near constant warfare. Much of this was due to the near complete lack of resources, arable land, and drinkable water in Haraxim, at least with the technology and techniques the Utor and other peoples had at the time. Now, while Haraxim is not necessarily a peaceful land due to wars over the Xumil trade, the continent is able to sustain itself in terms of food and drinking water.
The Chem'i Yunri is run by Kira Aeron Hytus, a king from the Hytus dynasty. The Hytus dynasty has controlled the Chem'i Yunri for the previous five hundred years, being kept in power through their alliance with the Kich Mepyukk. Many people within the Chem'i Yunri are discontent with the Hytus dynasty, seeing them as indifferent towards their people and believe them to weigh the interests of the Kich Mepyukk above their own kingdom. They are also known to be extravagant spenders despite the widespread poverty which exists within the Chem'i Yunri, creating some distrust of the royal family. The people of the Chem'i Yunri are primarily Utor humans, but the country also has a large population of Nuvarian and Dragonborn citizens. Most of the country's citizens live along the Terai River or the continent's northern coast. The nation is most known for its presence in the Xumil trade, especially along trade routes leading to Pwenlylyn, but also for their involvement in the creation and trade of luxurious textiles, with many fine silks and fabrics coming from the Chem'i Yunri.
