Dead Man's Willow
Throughout Froslak myth, there are stories of a tree, deep in the woods of Kingour, that weeps through the night, attracting magical apparitions, spirits, and ghouls to its location. The Froslak king of the dead, Caragor, was said to hold enormous and luxurious feasts by the tree, during which the dead would play games, drink, and celebrate their eternal existence. These myths were largely told to children to keep them from wandering away from home at night; however, with the sudden decrease in natural arcana in the world and the resurgence of arcane storms came sightings of groups of undead roaming the countryside, reveling with drink and food. Villagers across the inner regions of Auchnavar continue to turn up dead, stabbed and gored in the night and found in the morning by their worried families.
The Dead Man's Willow, the tree described by various Froslak myths as being the preferred location for Caragor's revelry and drunken antics, is theorized to be located deep in the forests of Kingour, in a meadow deep in the woods near the center of the continent. No mortal has ever found the true location of the tree, though myths and legends tell stories of heroes who managed to find and venture to the tree, seeking to speak with Caragor to revive dead loved ones or challenge him for the gift of immortality. The tree is said to be an unnaturally tall willow tree, covered in the typical pale yellow leaves and vines of Kingour's fauna. Froslak myth tell of wandering spirits in the woods of Kingour who, themselves, search for the tree, looking to partake in Caragor's eternal celebrations or simply find peace in the afterlife.
