Zillimin’s Altar
Deep in the lichen and fungi filled grasslands of Caelcoa is a patch of forest which holds a longstanding, natural formation of stone known as Zillimin’s Altar. Made up of 3 rows of triangular stones extending from a central, flat stone, the formation has long been a place of interest in elven faith as well as in the study of the arcane. Many say that even the most mundane of humanity can communicate to the god’s through the altar, stating that it acts as a direct line of communication to the benevolent planes. Shockingly, the middle stone of the formation disappeared one morning, with the local priests who maintain the monument noticing a massive hole in the center of the stones. Inside was a skeleton, born of a species unknown to any of the scholars present. There are rumors that the stone was taken by trickster Fey from the nearby forests while others claim that it must have been taken by a massive monster of some sort, though those are rarely existent in Londthas. Tracks were discovered leading into the woods, but searching in the area proved fruitless. Rumors have spread around regions of Caelcoa stating that the disappearance of the altar was divine in nature. Shortly before its disappearance, a strange beam of blue and red energy was seen emitting from the forest in which the altar was located, extending into the heavens. This beam lasted a few moments and was followed with a flash of radiant energy that caused quakes throughout Caelcoa. In addition, strange shards of ice and obsidian were found in the nearby woods.
