Coming from a family filed with talented swordsmen and women, Medos Einar was the 1st son of the family and the most talented. Following him were 2 younger siblings, 1 sister and 1 brother who looked up to him as a role model. From a young age he showed tremendous talent in the way of the blade and was taught by his father and grandfather. He later left his household at the age of 24 to gain real world experience as a bounty hunter. He returned at the age of 31 to be let in on the family secret. They showed him the family heirloom, HelmBreaker, a 1 handed sword that didn't allow many before him to hold it. He felt a strange connection between him and the sword, and as he grabbed the hilt a surge of magical energy form the blade flowed into Medos. He heard a raspy voice that no one else was able to hear, which said "Finally someone able to hold some of my power". After many years of not hearing that voice he by accident used a eldritch blast during a bounty hunt and heard the voice again "You ... My wielder finally able to use my power".

Later after finishing that job, in his home spoke out to the voice saying "Who are you?" The voice responded " I am the blade you all call HelmBreaker and I have a request for you". Medos asking intrigued " what kind of request." "I command you to find the The Sun Shard, a shard that holds a majority of the radiance that I once had," replied the voice. After This interaction he gained more of the blade's power and began working as a thief the gain information on where this stone might be. And it was through this work that he ended up on the same squad with the party.
