Spinster
If I had a few spinsters in my corner, I could be acquitted of any manner of heinous crime. And the judge and jury would apologize to me as they dismissed the case.

pinster refers to any member of
Hegemony International's public relations teams.
Perception
Social Status
A
lthough most employees have come to accept spinsters as a rather ubiquitous aspect of corporate life in Hegemony, they're often viewed with some level of disdain. This emanates from their tendency to snoop, pry, and expose details of employees' personal lives that most would prefer to remain private.
Broadcasters
While spinsters are focused on presenting Hegemony to the outside world in the best possible light, they will also go to rather extreme measures when looking to garner publicity. Hegemony maintains a number of in-house media channels, and spinsters work tirelessly to craft content for those outlets. This often involves broadcasting "dramas" that are based on the real-world happenings within the corporation. To this end, most spinsters have little concept of (or respect for) private or sensitive information. Some of their most popular productions document the culling of employees. They're also keen to film the rather touchy proceedings that occur during Tribunals. Reginald Howell himself is known to adore this programming and is believed to spend hours watching it.
Operations
Provided Services
S
pinsters are the primary public voice of Hegemony International. They're not simply responsible for direct corporate communications. They also control anything that can be broadly defined as "outreach" and they're tasked with providing maximum visibility for the company under the best possible terms.
They handle all the production details of the ongoing spectacle that is the Guillotine Games. They craft an endless array of content for the company's media outlets. This includes many versions of "reality TV" that highlight the inner workings of the company. They also take a central role in managing governmental relations.
Damage Control
Spinsters are also the primary actors whenever the organization feels compelled to undertake damage control. Within their ranks they have specialized operatives (sometimes referred to as "fixers") who are responsible for handling (and suppressing) any-and-all information that can lead to scandal. When the company finds itself in crisis, these fixers will go to extreme lengths to craft and control the public narrative.
