Anoki Enoli
Anoki Enoli, also known as Pavil al-Telakan is a Man of Sinopa trained in the art of necromancy by his father, Scion of House Enoli.
Enoli Family History
House Enoli (Sinopan: Black Fox) is a smaller house within the Sinopan hierarchy, which has a reputation for breeding agents and spies for Sinopa. They gained house status after the founder, a woman named Tsula, was given a secret mission for a past king, but he decided to not officially recognize them, instead allowing them to work within the shadows of Sinopan society. On one of her missions in Westwythe, Tsula found herself alone in the freezing woods when a black fox spirit named Aefre appeared before her and helped her find shelter. Since then, that same fox has given itself to the Enoli family, and served each generation since.Early Life
Anoki was born in 388 AU in Sinopa to House Enoli, and from a young age he was trained and instructed in the ways of necromancy and infiltration. His two younger sisters were also trained in infiltration, but they were expected to marry into a prominent Sinopan house in order to spy on it from within for the king, or marry outside Sinopa into another important family either in Santa Alessa or one of the Wythian states. Anoki was kept secluded from the greater Sinopan society, and so did not form many strong attachments or friendships outside of his kin. At the age of 16, Anoki and the family fox Aefre was sent abroad to Arnt Batin in order to begin assimilating into their ways in preparation for his first assignment. While there, Anoki leaned of a famed dwarven pit fighter named Pavil of Arnt Batin who had become legend, and so took on his name as an alias. It was also in Arnt Batin that Anoki crafted his mask, and imbued it as his way of focusing magic. The mask was also useful for concealing his noticeable Sinopan features wherever he went. In 405 AU he was summoned back to Sinopa to begin his mission.Time in Sevnónicha
In 406 Anoki (now known as Pavil) traveled to Sevnónicha by order of his father to spy on the Sevnóni people. His mission was to infiltrate Vyssíjórgen Academy and send what knowledge he could back to Sinopa. Events led him on an adventure where he was forced to work with some locals in order to defeat a beast that had been terrorizing the countryside. Throughout the adventure, Anoki began enjoying the company of his comrades, and by the end he considered them his first true friends. The beast, as it turned out, was nothing more than a small child named Karylia, and once they cured her of her curse, Anoki held her and put his wolf pelt around her to keep her warm along with Aefre. Anoki thought of his sisters as he held her, and thoughts of home, the war, his friends, all flooded his mind. He came to realize that he could no longer help Sinopa in its war against the Sevnóni, when he now had a stake in its survival. Anoki would eventually choose to help raise the child since her father had been killed, and her mother was prepared to be put on trial. He and Aefre left Sevnónicha with Karylia for Arnt Batin.Later Life
Anoki would raise Karylia in Arnt Batin, and train her in the magical arts, but would refrain from teaching her necromancy out of respect for her Sevnóni heritage. Together they and Aefre would travel around Arnt Batin on adventures, going far South, and up into Ulnost.
