Sin of the Forest

Remnant of the Fey

The Sin of the Forest is a newly-discovered species of lily, found near the destroyed entrance to the Drowned Road in Briar Glen. It glows slightly, illuminated by an otherworldly violet hue. This flower is a mutation caused by slight leakage of fey magic from Eastwythe. Despite the dangers posed by the archfey in the forest, the Councils of Briar Glen have deemed the flower to be harmless.   After Vesser Rantari Highmore sealed the entrance to Eastwythe permanently, it was a time of celebration. The threat of the Ela to Briar Glen and Ulnost was to be a passing memory. However, over the course of a year, new lilies around the entrance to the Drowned Road slowly turned to the violet glow they are known for today. While a harmless mutation, they serve as a reminder not to forget what could have been the end of their city. They were aptly named Sin of the Forest, and are now often suspended in amber necklaces; a charm meant to ward off evil.
