Languages of the Forests
A group of languages derived from the language of the Old Folk, the languages of the forests are six dialects of the Geeta (a language-dialect related to High-Talk) that have evolved into their own separate languages. The languages are Baghavad and Ch'r'kee (Yea'haa'weh), Dreb (Drekkin), Indagita (Indagarians), Ksksksky and Surakhiya (Surakh).
Writing System
The six languages are written in Magadhan, with sounds like "x" being written as "sz". The languages are also written in an ancient hieroglyphic-alphabet known as the Lithic Script. This script is a series of 32 artistic glyphs: A, U, E, I, O, Ə, B, Ch, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Qu, R, T, S, Sh, Y, Th, Dh, V, W, Ŋ, X, Z and Ts. Sounds like "Qu" and "Ŋ" are rarely used and are almost obsolete.
Geographical Distribution
Phonology
The language rarely uses the "b" and "g" sounds. Four new sounds have developed into the language of the years; [p'], [k'], [m'] and [t'] which are spelt as "px", "tx", "kx" and "mx". The "ts" sound has also remained, but the "tz", "sm" and "zm" sounds have become obsolete. The "ks" sound is also rarely used.
Morphology
The language is tonal, certain sounds can have multiple meanings and must be pronounced differently.
Syntax
The structure of sentences are either "Object-Verb-Subject" or "Subject-Object-Verb", depending on tone and context.
