The Beginning of All Things - An Elder Tale from before Tales were ever told.
Before the Dawn and the Dusk. Before the Moon and the Stars. And before Thought and Spirit. There was nothing but the unseen, unthinking, and unfeeling forces of Ilore and Caeon. Order and Chaos. And they were the first of all the Powers that would ever be. Their power joined would accomplish deeds of greatness unimaginable. But their incompatibility made them the first and truest adversaries. Yet for but a moment. The two opposites did meet in the vast nothingness. From their meeting, came conflict, strife, unease, ruin, and fury. The likes of which only the Spirits of the Land, Sea, and Sky still sing of. For these were not meant to mingle and conjoin, incapable of mutual suffrage as they were. But regardless, they did.
In their collision, the Aimless Cosmos exacerbated, and Space itself tore apart and came together again. From the meeting of Ilore and Caeon. A new force had sprung. A New Power that was neither absolute, nor undefined. A thing of change, balanced in the adamant motions of Order. And disrupted in the imbalance of Chaos. This force would be called, Oraeda. Possibility. A New Power that had Thought, Form, and Feeling. It's form was that of a singular, unnoticeable spark. So small and so fragile. One might think a single brush of air would put it out forever, if there was yet a breath to do so. It's thought was of the universe to come and all that may be. And it's feelings, were of great courage amid the turmoil of its unrefined origins and ever volatile parents.
The Oraeda beheld the nothingness and was discontent to abide it. With a final thought, the Oraeda unbound itself as a spark. Becoming a great and fiery Inferno. Reaching far and wide. Filling the Nothingness from its furthest perceivable extent and back again. In its great change, it cast out Ilore and Caeon beyond the Malleable Space. Where they became Realms unto themselves, yet they would ever be apart of the universe for which they were unwittingly responsible. They would become the realms neighboring the universe. Caeon, would be the Realm of Daemons. Antithesis Beings that seek only the doom of all things not akin to themselves. And would ever be a place of Infernal Corruption. Of Ilore, none can say who speak today. For none have gone there, and returned to tell of it.
The Oraeda burned brighter than any flame or light of power that ever would be. But with the Oraedas Light also came another thing. Darkness. For no matter the how bright the Light may burn, Deeper still will be its Shadow. Bringing another duality to the universe. Where once, there had been only one. And it would define a great many things that as yet, had not come about.
The Force of Oraeda unbound, soon took form again. But not as one. Instead. Oraeda took on separate forms and thoughts. Becoming separate beings with minds and wills of their own. Each holding a part of all that the Oraeda could become. And the first of these beings, was Ukran, The First of All Light. A being comprised of a glorious Golden Flame. Ever shifting and resolute to all wind or rain. Yet it did not sear or scorch what it touched. But rather, lent a warmth and a comfort instead. In his eyes burned a great White Fire. That part of the Oraeda that could perceive the true and present condition of all beings and happenings in the universe. As well as the beings and happenings to come. Making Ukran the Wisest of all Beings. This being, was the embodiment of the Light, Fire, Wisdom, Vibration, and Truth.
But he was not the only one to be First Born. For in the same moment that his Fire first Burned. Another had been born of the same Unbinding of the Oraeda. By this was his sibling and twin born along side him. Yet this being did not cast a light upon all in his presence. And what he touched did not feel comfort. But rather, would recoil, feeling only a great terror and coldness. His body was comprised of Winding shadows with eyes of a Dark Blue luminescence. This beings name, was Umrada. The embodiment of the Darkness, Shadow, Cold, Air, and Absence. And was that part of Oraeda that was yet darker and more sinister than the rest of its quality. For in Possibility, the makings of great good can be. But so too can great evil be as well. Umrada is Ukrans opposite and his compliment. Ever to be the enemy of the Light and all it presides over. Yet doomed to be a necessary element to the existence of the Light. Which the Oraeda knew all too well.
In their beginning, Ukran and Umrada did not come to blows. But rather, were yet without understanding of themselves or each other. Neither could hide from the other, a bond existed between them that could not be severed. Yet neither wished the other to travel in their company. But despite the aversion of each other which their New Born hearts and wills could not understand. Much less put into words. They traveled together to find others in the yet shapeless void. To discover if they were not alone. Ukran used his sight to glimpse beyond the veiling Dark. But he could not yet see another like himself or his twin. For there was yet a thing most pivotal that he was to do. A purpose that eluded him. And after a time of contemplation. Ukran discovered what that purpose was. The First of All Light focused with all his mind and all his heart, and by his will. Great Lights as bright as the flame by which he was comprised soon shown out across the Darkness and illuminated the void. These lights would ever after be known to mortal beings as the Sun and Stars.
While Ukran delighted in his work. Umrada objected to it. Ukrans own Light was trouble enough for Umrada. But these lights that he had made, gave Umrada a sense of being invaded. Of being robbed of something. And felt a great deal less at home in the universe. It was by this, that the strife between Ukran and Umrada, would begin to kindle. A tension that would permeate their lives and their works forever more. And be beyond reconciliation.
Ukran and Umrada resumed their journey through the half lit space. Finding nothing but the Stars of Ukrans design. Until they heard a strange and compelling sound. A sound comparable to mortal beings today as a hammer striking an Anvil. Yet it was not the sound of metals. But of energies flourishing and crackling against the vast atmosphere of the young cosmos. Ukran and Umrada ventured forth to find the source of the sound. Being directed by lights flickering and flashing in the distance. The Light of one of Ukrans stars flickered from a far. Each strobe corresponded with the sounds ringing out. And the two were directed to its mysterious architect.
At last the source was revealed. A being like unto themselves hammered upon the star. It's light did not wane, but rather waxed. Burning brighter than before. Warmer than it had been But what astounded Ukran and Umrada more were the instruments this newly found being used to work upon the star. Not tools separate from itself. But rather, its own Hands. This being had skin the color of burnt bronze, with hair of fire that burned with the color of burnt orange. And seemed to glow brighter or calmer with his mood and thoughts. His features were larger than that of Ukran and Umradas, with thick muscles and bristling hairs. And his eyes glowed with a glittering amber, like the pedals of summer flowers that caught the dawns light. This being revealed himself as Yurion, known ever after among his kin and to legend as the Refiner of Stars.
When asked of his purpose in the hammering of the Stars, Yurion replied that he sought to perfect their purposes and yet unlock further potential. He sought to bring about useful change and improvement to all that surrounded him. For Yurion was the embodiment of that part of the Oraedas drive to improve and grow. The Embodiment of Craft, Change, Progression, Power, Purpose, and Energy. And as such would help to drive the universe forward in earnest.
Ukran and Umrada were amazed by his skill at craft, and inspired by his determination. They invited him to join them in their search for others like themselves. Yurion agreed, stopping only to refine the stars as they pass them on their journey. For a long time they wandered. A great and vast distance they traveled. When at last they had found another sign of one such as they. When they had found masses of rock and stone simply floating unguided into the blackness of the Space. Each mass comprised of vast and jagged crags. Molded in such diverse shapes that no two were the same. Yet were without a true design.
Amid the masses they had found a being with purple skin and white hair. Whose face was misshapen, and not at all handsome like Ukrans face. And not as bold as Yurions. This being revealed himself as Jodron. And he embodied that part of the Oraeda that sought to bring about form and shape to the universe. The embodiment of Physicality, Earth, Gravity, Structure, Magnetism, and Entropy. While Ukran and Yurion were at first averse to Jodrons appearance. Umrada had no adamant face. His form was ever shifting and like unto a whirlwind of darkness that worked to keep shape. Being indifferent to appearance. Umrada and Jodron became fast friends. Ukran knew the significance of Jodron. Recognizing him as kin. Resolved, Ukran extended a hand of friendship to Jodron and invited him to join them in their search for others like themselves. And so three became four.
They ventured forth. Wandering, searching, crafting and refining all they saw. Following the Stars that now had illuminated the vastness beyond that point from which Ukran and Umrada had began their journey. Finding even masses that Jodron had long ago made that had wandered far in the emptiness between the Stars in the vastness of Space, which they had come to call the Evnvod or Ever-void. But this time. Upon them, were growths of plant life and other such things. Such small and fragile things that had been sewn upon the surfaces of the earthy masses. Ukran and the others knew that this was a sign of another like themselves. One who makes possible, that which had not been possible before. And so they followed the masses that bore this sign of design. Until at last they beheld another of their kind. Yet upon seeing this being, the four were without words. For this being did more than bring forth the growing things. This being of their own kind, sang them into being.
This being was not masculine as the others were. But fair, and feminine. Her form was of green skin overlaid by what seemed to be gently wrapping vines and leaves. Her hair was of a fair emerald color. Seeming to lend a cleansing light to all who beheld it. When the four met her gaze. They were entranced by wondrous blue lights in her eyes. Not dark and cold blue like Umradas. But bright and warm. Which held only affection and a sense of care for all they beheld. This being was named Vytol. Called afterwards by her kin and by legend, The Life-Mother. For she was the embodiment of that part of Oraeda that sought to bring about Life in all forms and shapes. The embodiment of Life, Water, Essence, Growth, Vitality, and Emotion. Joining without beckoning in the company of the four. Now, they were five.
But Ukran did not continue. For now his sight became clear. The sight granted to him by the Oraeda now revealed the truth of the universe. Showing him all corners of creation. As yet to be by the ever expanding force that the Oraeda had let forth when it unbound itself. Revealing to Ukran that he and the other four, were as yet all that were in the universe. And that this should not be a reason for despair. For in their hands and at their wills were the very powers of creation itself. Even the nothingness that they were born into would now bend to their whims. Upon the conclusion of this vision, Ukran was content. Possessed by an Enlightened Resolve.
"Hear me brethren. The sight of The Oraedanu, the Sight of the One and All, has shown me the truth of the void and of our purpose there in. The very quality of the universe is ours to shape and shatter as we would desire. Hearken to me brethren. Let us set forth into the dark and fill it with Light, Life, and Purpose. And may it ever be blessed with peace. We are the Oraedar, the Bringers of the Possible. So let it be." Ukran had said to his brethren, leading them at last into the Evnvod unburdened by uncertainty. Their purpose clear, the Oraedar traveled through out the cosmos. Bringing their works to wherever they found emptiness. Together, they had created many worlds diverse in quality and unique to each other.
Jodron would create masses and set them to abide in cycles around their neighboring Stars. Yurion refined their shapes. Rooting Power into their surfaces. And made possible lands upon the worlds for habitation. Vytol filled them with life and growing things unique to each world. With bodies of water diverse in size and strength. Ukran set hearts of Fiery Light at their cores to warm them. Umrada cast his breath into the open space surrounding the surfaces. Creating winds and air to breath for the unique life that would permeate them. And ensured that the Dark would not over take them.
Worlds beyond counting they had crafted. Forming them, shaping them, endowing them with life and energy. But always when they had finished, they would go on. Choosing not to dwell long upon their works. And so after a long age. These worlds, unattended. Would thrive and bring forth living things of their own. But all had their roots in the Oraedar. And would flourish in their wake. Such was the intent of the Oraedar as guided by the foresight of Ukran.
But the Oraedar had grown weary of their wandering. And desired a place among the stars for themselves. A singular, solitary world. To be as they dictate and shape. To stand forever amid the void. Which had grown and was now immeasurable to the mortal condition. Ukran then declared in great command, that the Oraedar shall create for themselves a world upon which to live, and order the quality of the cosmos. His voice reached far and across the void like a great tide unbound rolling over the shore. So that no corner of creation, conscious or inanimate, could claim no ignorance of the will of the Oraedar.
This world would be singular and without equal to any other amid the void. For where the worlds that had been wrought were made in common condition and left to come into their own. This world would be as the Oraedar willed. From the greatest depth, to the highest peak. All of the quality of this world shall be shaped and molded to a great design.
Ukran began the great labor. First by chosing a Star to illuminate their work. Naming it Luenun. The Presiding Light. Then by manifesting a great mass of weaving light and fire that danced and flowed with form amid the void. So it was that Ukran brought into being The Oenda Solamar. The Font of Earthly Fire. The very source of physical flame brought to life. And was the womb of the Element and Elementals of Fire in the world.
Jodron then stepped forward to continue the labor. Manifesting and molding a great mass of stone and soil. Wrapping it around the Oenda Solamar until it rested deep beneath the unrefined surface. Then Jodron willed into being a Heart of soil, stone, gravity, stability, and motion. And so it was that The Oenda Taraman came into being. The Heart of Mass and Motion. This would be the heart and source of Rock, Stone, and Land. And was the womb of the Element and Elementals of Earth in the world.
Umrada hearkened to the task that laid before him. Stepping forward to further the labor. First by setting apart a portion of the earth from the whole, and set it in the void overhead. To catch the Suns Light so that the Dark would not render the world unseen when the Suns light did not shine where it could not reach. Naming it Elohan, the Mirror of Light. Then he breathed deep the vastness of the void, and exhaled four great winds that cast themselves across the yet unrefined world. Bringing the very capability of breath to the world upon the stride of many winds. Umrada had given the Four Greater Winds names to accord them to their paths. Oana, later known as North Wind. Uetha, later known as South Wind. Irda, later known as East Wind. And Vesa, later known as West Wind. Ordering them with a singular source which gave them substance and motion independent yet dependent upon each other. Setting it above the world, yet across the world. Ever to be within the Winds and through out the air. So came to be The Oenda Aethoro, the Heart of Airs. And was the womb of the Element and Elementals of Air.
Vytol hearkened to Ukrans declaration. First by willing diverse and healthy plants and trees to spring forth from where she willed. Becoming the forests and fields of the world. Then by willing into being in compassion and care a great presence of Moisture. Bringing forth Oceans, Rivers, Lakes, Ponds, Puddles, and the Rains and Snows. Ordering them with a source by which all Waters may be governed. Setting it in the great gaps and openings of the world, filling them with waters. And so came into being The Oenda Aquarim. The Womb of Waters. And was the womb of the Element and Elementals of Water.
Yurion stepped forward at last. Harnessing by will and tenacity the very energies of the universe. That great force that was born when the Oraeda had divided itself and perpetuated across the Evnvod. The energy that made possible all physical and ethereal things. And connected all things living and inanimate together. And Yurion set it within the world, which then spread across it. Bursting forth as great wells of energy and raw power. The Places of Power, or Manafonts as they would later be called. So came into being The Oenda Manatum. The Heart of The Energy of Mana. And was the source of all magics and powers that arose in and upon the earth.
And so came the Zohadar, the Elements of the World. Each singular to each other. Yet pivotal to one another. These were the raw manifestations of the power of the universe. Yet were not its only capable faces. But rather, existed according to the designs of the Oraedar. For the Zohadar were required to bring this world to the state by which Ukran had foreseen. As were the Elementals that would share the name of the wombs from which they were born. For they were as kin beyond what mortal beings who pair and sire progeny could understand.
Their wills and powers established upon this world. The Oraedar went down into it. Leaving the great vastness of space to touch upon this world of their making. Yet the sense of loneliness that the Evnvod stubbornly kept in its vastness lingered still in their hearts. And so together they took the same energies of their own being and brought forth a gathering of great spirits. Beings of power and beauty. With qualities and minds that were alike to the sphere of reality that their masters presided over. These were the Anveru. These were the Attendants and Servants of the Oraedar. Spirits of Power born to be both attendant and champion according to their task. Each Anver was born to serve a particular Oraedar. Conditioned and empowered in accordance with the Sphere of Power of their Oraedar Masters. And could create spirits of their own to aid them in their labors. Or to join them on their travels.
The Anveru of Ukran were beings of Light and Fire. And were wise and just in mind and action. Their names were Caemar, Ruondar, Aroan, Uoloran, Maedar, Nuloran, Zenekar, Noroan, and Luenar. Others of their number later forsook their names to become spirits of Fire and Light. Caemar stood Chiefest among them. And was the most trusted of Ukran in all matters great or small. For he was most like Ukran in thought and moral.
The Anveru of Vytol were beings of Nature and Vitality. And were ever careful and considerate of the worlds wildernesses and bore a great affection of all the wild creatures that dwelt there in. Their names were Ivala, Vasia, Asora, Nivara, Seritar, Genor, Nuron, Harnan, Carodan, Tinava, and Boronas. Others of their number forsook their names to become spirits of the Wilderness and Nature. Chiefest among them was Ivala. And was the truest follower of Vytol in all matters. For she too held great compassion for all things.
The Anveru of Umrada were beings of Darkness and Shadow. And were of a mind of isolationism and observation. Their names were Uendir, Narotan, Inithar, Estara, Ilumon, Taromin, Renodor, Andocar, and Surilan. Others of their number forsook their names to become spirits of Shadow and the Deep places of the earth. Chiefest among them were Uendir and Narotan together. Who were Umradas most favoured followers. Whom he had entrusted all secrets and knowledge with.
The Anveru of Yurion were beings of Craft and Strength. And were of a mind of devoted creation and great determination. To preside over the defvelopment of the world and all things there in. Their names were Daemos, Aemod, Oenath, Uanemar, Maeron, Taendar, Boerad, Gerom, Varcon, Cemenor, Imoron, Neobar, and Garomon. Others forsook their names to become spirits of Stone and Guardianship. Chiefest among them was Daemos. And he was the most warlike of all the Anverai. Yet truest in valor and great in might. And he was Yurions most trusted emissary.
And the Anveru of Jodron were beings of Wandering and aimlessness. Preferring to travel in peace about the world without purpose. Yet still served their master in devotion when called upon. And their names were Harodon, Voboren, Erbotar, Umarac, Rasamar, Emuros, Lobemon, Natanu, Maceon, Bordonro, and Arcorin. Others of their number forsook their names to become the Wandering Spirits of the Mountains and great chasms. Chiefest among them was Harodon, Who was alike to a lesser degree in dominion over the balance of the earth and all that tread upon it. And was ever a friend to his master.
Ukran cast his eyes upon each and every one of the number of the Anverai. Beholding their power and quality of mind and morals, he declared that all was as it must be. And that the world of the Oraedar had been born. So naming it Helaeron. The Home Amid the Darkness. Which would become the Home of the Beings and Powers begotten by the works of the Oraedar in the Beginning, and all things to come after them. From the First Light unto the Last Breath. As it was begun, its making at last, had ended.
In his delight of the world they had just created. Ukran looked to Vytol with fond eyes. Vytol returned the sentiment. A feeling yet unnamed came over them. A force between forces. Fragile, yet indestructible. It would later be named by mortal beings, as Love. This new force had struck Ukran and Vytol without compromise. And in a moment that neither could say they were truly conscious for. Ukran and Vytol kissed in the fullness of their passions.
In time, the two had joined once more. And a New Being began to grow in Vytols belly. This being would swell until at last, the moment came, when that being would be born. For a long time, Vytol cried out in episodes of pain. The likes of which could only be compared to the unpredictable wrath of a thunder storm as it spits lightning down upon the earth. A matter of which Ukran could do nothing to stop her pains. All he could do for Vytol was be there in her pain, her hand in his. But on the final episode of pain. The child had come forth.
This child was unlike any among the Oraedar, the Anveru, or the Elementals. This child was not in the image of its parents. Its body was long and wide breasted. Clad in scales of white steel. Sporting mighty and eclipsing wings. Feathered between long reaching bones that expanded their reach. When it opened its eyes, Blue kissed silver looked upon this newborn world, with newborn wonder. From its brow came a crown of ivory horns. Reaching high to the skies above with a light of their own glimmering true. But of all these features, none struck the world so, as when it spoke.

To this, all of nature saluted the newborn. Singing praise to no end. For their rightful Lord had come. Tree and Stone yielded to the new come being. Storm and Sea waned at its behest. So it had been that all Nature and all there in, bowed to this newborn being. Declaring it and all its progeny, Lord and Master of All Nature.
There are Trees that are so ancient that they had witnessed such a birth. The Stones and Mountains too remember this event well. And would tell of it later to those fortunate of mortal beings to hear their song. But all yet unborn, by word of mouth or writ of the wise, all would hear of this childs name. Ukran blessed him, and named him Draemaxis. Upon the utterance of his name. Ten from among the Anverai, two from each of the Oraedars host, pleaded with their masters to be allowed to serve him.
From Ukrans host of Anveru, Noroan, and Luenar stepped forth. Pleading with their master, their words swayed him. And they left his service to serve Draemaxis. They would become the Arch Spirits of Nature to preside over the land. Noroan became the Spirit-Lion. And Luenar became the Spirit-Wolf.
From Vytols host of Anveru, Nivara and Harnan stepped forth. Pleading with their master, their words swayed her. Though she knew the love they had for Draemaxis, and needed little convincing. They would become the Arch Spirits of Nature to preside over the Sky. Nivara would become the Spirit-Eagle. And Harnan would become the Spirit-Raven.
From Umradas host of Anveru, Estara and Andocar stepped forth. They pleaded with their master, and for a time their words did not sway him. But inevitably, he relented. And Estara and Andocar left his service to serve Draemaxis. They would become the Arch Spirits of Nature to preside over the Sea. Estara would become the Spirit-Whale. and Andocar would become the Spirit-Dolphin.
From Jodrons host of Anveru, Erbotar and Umarac stepped forth. They pleaded with their master, and their words touched his heart. With Jodrons leave, they left his service to serve Draemaxis. They would become vassal Spirits of Nature to aid Noroan and Luenar in presiding over the land. Erbotar would become the Spirit-Stag. And Umarac would become the Spirit-Bear.
From Yurions host of Anveru, Uanemar and Garomon stepped forth. They pleaded with their master, and he gave his blessing. They left his service to serve Draemaxis. They would become Spirits of Nature. But would not guard over the same sphere. Uanemar would become the Spirit-Dove. And Garomon would become the Spirit-Seal. Yet they promised to ever correspond.
Such were the beginnings of the Anima, the Guardian Spirits of Nature. Who would ever be in the service of Draemaxis and all Dragon Kind.
With this, Draemaxis concluded his song. And said "The song has shown me what is to be. With the Anima in my charge and service. I and my progeny shall guide the course of the world. The world is made, the Elements established, the Guardians and Guides raised, the great works begun. So I shall begin my work, with the observance of time. Ever shall the days uncounted live on in legend. But the days after shall be marked, and remembered."
So began the count of Time, and the beginnings of the first of all living beings. These happenings are what wrought the world. From the emptiest moment, to the fullest hour. This is how the world and all there in began. With Draemaxis declaring the First day of the First Aeon. A time that would ever be called, the Time of the First Song.
And so it was, through emptiness and darkness. Through fire and water. By the will and love of Powers older than the Count of Time. The World of Helaeron, had come at last.
