The Ellician Virtues
The Codes of Conduct and Life that made The Ellician Empire and Humankind great. Tenets and Challenges at the same time. It was by these codes that Ellicia rose from a settlement on the western shore of what is today The Kingdom of Dekmire. Into the empire that ruled the Known World. Laid out by Animar The Honored in his great mission to reunite Humankind and fulfill the Promise that Caemar saw in Humans when he created them.
- Graeturea - Selflessness. "To consider all others before yourself, yet to never forget to consider yourself. The world is dark when one walks alone. Give aid to others, and learn how best to aid them."
- Inargeai - Ingenuity. "To love what is given and what is found. Yet to make them greater than before. It is a world equipped to provide. Take what is ordinary, and bring about the extraordinary."
- Saeparea - Wisdom. "To strive to be enlightened in all matters of mind, body, and soul. Yet to recognize where wisdom dwells. As the Great Ones teach us. The Source Consider, before you Drink of the River."
- Valaordea - Valor. "To live smiling in the face of fear, hardship, or turmoil. Courage is one of the greatest gifts to Humankind. Do not let it languish. Embrace it. Embrace the challenges that hunt you. They will bring you glory."
- Fiadea - Faith. "To believe in yourself when all others shriek with doubt. Adversity comes when we are most comfortable. Better to live calmly. Believing in your ability to overcome any obstacle."
- Sacrivea - Sacrifice. "To gain, it is necessary to give. Not all that must be given is given easily or gently. But one must not run and hide when they are summoned by the Gods to take action for the good of all."
- Vaertea - Truth. "To speak the truth always, and speak no lies. Yet truth may also be hidden. Seek it as a hunter seeks the deer. And for the same severity of reason. For the good of themselves and others in their care."
- Incarmatea - Growth. "To move forward and upward always. Standing still is slow death. Better to live as the water of the stream. Adaptable, to the shifting of the earth as the course of the river changes."
- Onorea - Honor. "To live true to your word, your family, your community, and your beliefs. To do right by others because it is right. The truth of Honor will always be in honoring others as you would honor yourself. So honor yourself by doing what is right."
- Faedilim - Loyalty. "To keep true to your comrades and your community. To keep every promise given and every vow spoken. To live with word and promise broken is to live hollow and worthless."
