The Last Schism of the Elves
The Battle that ended The First Aeon. The sociological and philosophical differences of the Elves had reached a high point. The Sun Elves, believing that Ukran was the one true God. And that all the other Oraedar were lesser beings. Unworthy of worship.
But the Night Elves had lost faith and love in the Oraedar all together. Believing in a more, atheist approach to things. Their unwillingness to believe made them the object of all contempt to the Sun Elves. Who would call the Night Elves Nelcreidari, Non-Believers. And make war on them.
While the Wood Elves did all they could to quell the fighting. But many would inevitably become part of the number of casualties.
The battle would culminate on the northern edge of what is today The Bannar Plains. A final duel between Uandil Sunsworn and Svarcoas Nightcaller. A duel which ended in the death of Uandil.
Linuliel Oakenheart took as many of her people as she could with her to The Great Autumnwood Forest. The rest fled south, across The Redveil Mountains into The Tzariban Swamps. This was the last great divide that would set the Elves apart as one people. Thus becoming the four cultures of the Elves. The Sun Elves in their ivory cities built upon mountain cliffs and great heights. The Night Elves in their Dread and Dark subterranean domain in The Great Deeps of Duordemar. The Wood Elves in their forest kingdoms, crowned by The Realm of Tyr'na Sylvanar. And the Sea Elves who would take to what is today known as the The Annar Peninsula and through out the depths of the great seas of the world.

The Conflict
Prelude
Burgeoning cultural, religious, and philosophical differences long ago emerged had reached the breaking point.
Battlefield
The Bannar Plains
Outcome
Strong animosity between the Sun Elves and Night Elves. Addressable only by conflict. No peace could be achieved in the days following the conflict, nor any day that followed. Extremist Circles on both sides would assault any peace talks that were held by the combatants. Making their mutual doom an inevitable and unstoppable future.
Displacement and Alienation of the Wood Elves. In the millennia following the conflict. Both sides would parlay with the Wood Elves for troops, tribute, or allegiance. When the Wood Elves refused to offer any of these to either side. They would be assaulted with no mercy, enslaved, or worse. The only peace the Wood Elves knew, were in the brief century that followed the eventual extinction of the Sun and Night Elves. Until the coming of Humans from the lost continent of Old Artea.
And the Estrangement of the Sea Elves into the seas of the world. With their only land realm being the narrow coasts and fjords of The Annar Peninsula. Though in the millennia to follow. They like would fade into myth, and memory. Told in campfire stories by Wood Elves old enough to have known them. Or had been told the story by their grandparents. Though the Annar Men may have tales to prove that the Sea Elves have not left the Known World quite yet.
