Rakani
Collegially referred to as troll hounds, these vicious Chimeras were once used by the ancient mage lords as guard dogs. The Chimera was made with a strong territorial drive, allowing only those it has imprinted upon to pass it. Though it has been years since then, the creatures can still be found around ancient temple sites and ruined complexes, from where they now nest and hunt.
The Rakani are near impossible to put down, as their regenerative properties were made to overcome, flaws found in troll flesh, thus it can regenerate nearly anything save that of missing limbs or dead flesh. As such t put them down, one must sever the head from the body.
Its bite has an insidious poison, often referred to as rot bite which seemingly interferes with healing magic, setting necrosis into the flesh at an alarming rate, which must be restored before any prober healing can be done.
