SSS-Class

SSS-class, (also called SSS-rank, triple-S, or three-sigma), is a superhuman power rank denoting the highest observed level of superhuman ability. Added due to the continued development of increasingly powerful super soldiers, and the emergence of natural superhumans of ever-greater ability levels, SSS-class is used to describe a superhuman operating at such a high level of combat ability that they could have unequivocally beaten Minuteman in single combat at the peak of the legendary superhero's power. The list of SSS-class superhumans is as short as the prestige of being a triple-S is great. Currently only two nations are known to have a SSS-class heroes operating within their borders, the US and Russia (there is some debate over whether Russia's hero deserves the title of hero, but there is no question that she deserves a SSS-rank). The US' two SSS-class superheroes are both members of the Defenders' active roster.
