Relay Crystal

The portable version of the Teleportation Matrix used by HFH owners. The size of a large emerald, it has several different gems embeded together.
By using an action, the user speaking the command phrase and destination, it is activated, with the "circle" centered on the Crystal. Also, by using an action, the user can change the command phrase, by using the previous command phrase. Mechanically, it is the same as the HFH Teleportation Matrix, but a portable version with the same restrictions.
Coveted by dragons due to its highly magical nature, and shimmering luster.

History

After the first experiments with the Teleportation Matrix, test candidates typically had to walk back to their origin point if their destination wasn't another teleportation circle. After a particularly lazy artificer who had to take the place of a test candidate complained of having to make the mile walk back to the franchise every day, he got the idea of modifiying a calibrated crystal to follow the same frequency of the unified host teleportation matrix instead of the frequency of the weave itself. Surely enough, his quick return after a test initially shocked onlookers but then after he answered how he got back so quickly, the shock turned to applause as he was immediatly promoted to senior teleportation development by Zazozysrath.
