Red Robin

Located with the Toru district, the Red Robin is a restaurant that is both famous and infamous, depending on who you ask, all across Hesper. It was originally founded by Chantal Sztharaxycu, the oldest daughter of the Sztharaxycu family in direct response to the rising success of The Golden Graap. It has since taken on a life and identity of its own in its years of operation under the leadership of general manager, Agnes, an Amazonian woman from Asura. When it was founded, the Red Robin was intended to serve a "toned down" version of the the infamously spicy Rookery Cuisine. With an artificially kitschy atmosphere, including wall-to-wall random tchotchkes, and a wait staff of exclusively Cha'Ari of the Gran'Ca'naria clan. With lagging sales and high turnover, the restaurant was on the verge of being shut down when Agnes took over the leadership. Once Agnes put on the Black Polo of the General Manager, there was a total renovation of the interior decoration, menu, and staff policy. Almost the entire menu was scrapped, with some notable exceptions that were favorites among regulars. With a new Theymisceran inspired menu, an approach towards casual adult dining, and a much more toned down atmosphere, the refurbished Red Robin was a wild success.

General Manager

Agnes is an imposing 7 foot tall Amazonian woman from Asura who has worked at the Red Robin for thirteen years since her soul was transported to Venus by the Tower of Souls. As an Astral, a non-native Hersperian whose soul has been dragged to Hesper, her skin is covered in a brilliant golden sheen. The brilliant hue of her skin contrasts with her tight, black, General Manager polo shirt, embroidered with the words "Red Robin" in red. Before coming to Hesper, she lead the Royal Kitchens in the palace at Themyscira. She attained the position in normal Themysciran tradition, by defeating the formal Royal Chef in a trial by combat, where she held the title for several years until the Tower of Souls brought her to Hesper. Attempts at usurping the former General Manager of the Red Robin, a Man, through similar means were only partially successful. The former manager was summarily defeated, but Themysciran traditions are not those of Cherut Das. However, Chantal Sztharaxycu, the owner of the Red Robin was impressed with Agnes' spirit and culinary expertise, and gave her the job anyway.

The Red Robin has a fairly extensive menu, with inartful recreations of traditional Cha'Ari dishes that have been toned down for wider audiences, mass-market dishes enjoyed by most everyone, and a few choice dishes that were added by Agnes herself. Hippolytaburger - 3e
Named after the Queen Hippolyta from General Manager Agnes' homeland, this thick & juicy burger is served with sundried tomatos, feta cheese, cucumbers, and mint garnish. The key ingredient is a unique sauce, called "Tzatziki" by Agnes, which is unlike any other sauce found on Hesper. Sacramento Katsika - 3e
Another dish named after someone from Agnes' Home, the Sacramento Kitsika is the favorite dish of the Queen Hippolyta's Royal Consort. It is a beef strip sandwich with fried egg, lettuce, ham, mozzarella, olives, bell pepper, and a spicy mayonaise. Lava Cake - 2e
A chocolate cake souffle with a hollow center containing a spicy chocolate syrup. General Manager Agnes seems to find customers asking to eat her famous lava cake funny, but nobody knows why, and she's not telling. Themyscirian Fire - 1e
