Banneret Merchant Knights

Structure

Loosely organized, each Banneret is esentially a self governing military unit. Wandering far from their home provinces, seeking to find and destroy all threats to their nation. Each knight reports directly to the Merchant-King.

Public Agenda

Bound by strict codes of honor and duty, a Banneret is pledged to protect the crown, they take the fight against evil beyond their kingdom’s borders. They are tasked with wandering the land as knights errant, relying on their judgment, bravery, and fidelity to the code of chivalry to guide them in defeating evildoers.

History

Originally formed as a semi-professional guard force, trained to protect merchant caravans across the plains. In time they distinguished themselves as noble and chivalrous defenders of the innocent, and were given a new duty by the Merchant-King of the time. They have been serving in this new capacity ever since.
