Pamyria

"The Mother's gift to her children was to grant them a land that showered them with her love. To have no babe left without a breast to suckle. Though she must know her children are strong, and thus, she blessed us with the trials to hone our claws."

  • Txyt'ny, Chieftain of the Silver Fangs
  • Pamyria is a continent that lies in the Southern Hemisphere. The majority of its landscape presides in the Western Hemisphere, though some of the Rajugyr Peninsula and Chitotlan Island Extends into the Eastern Hemisphere. It is bordered by Thyrina in the Northwest, the Timetal Ocean in the North, the Ledrosian Sea and Volksaar to the East, the Rhyshev Ocean to the South, and the Ryllkren Ocean to the West. Pamyria is the largest continent on Hindria in landmass and population. The majority of the inhabitants are Pamyrans, with sprinklings of human and elven civilizations. Named by the people that call it "Pamyr", or Mother in common, Pamyria is a vast land of jungles, deserts, valleys, and mountain ranges.

    Extent

Connected to both Thyrina and Volksaar in the North and East respectively, the continent is recognized to be limited by a variety of recognized boundaries. The natural markers of the Vydim Rivers flowing from the Mynos Mountain range delimit its northern border. Although there is no geophysical boundaries that separate Pamyria and Volksaar, a political acknowledgment amongst the Pamyrans and Saarans has determined the border to be located on the Eastern side of the Fenyks Desert. Although, Volksaar's dominance stretches most of the Timetal Expanse, the Chitotlan Island that resides in the Ledrosian Sea is still seen as part of Pamyria.

    Regions

Due to its sheer size, Pamyria is home to a variety of biomes and cultures. Culturally, Pamyria is dominated by the varying tribes of Pamyrans that are scattered throughout the continent. However, there is some human kingdoms and elven settlements that rest on the borders of the Fenyx desert and upon the Zyzynyk peninsula.   Geographically, Pamyria's greater regions are often referred to the massive ecosystems that dominate the continent.

    Geography

Pamyria rests a top multiple small continental plates, which have expanded the continent into its shattered state today. This also has created Pamyria to be the home of spectacular landscapes, containing the three largest forests, the highest freefall waterfall, and the longest canyon on Hindria.   The continent is divided into four superior geographic regions: the Fenyx Desert, which expands across most of Northern Pamyria between the Temital Ocean and the Saphnyr Mountains; the conglomerate of jungles and valleys that spot the Southern part of the continent is known as the Pamyrian Hearth; third and fourthly, the peninsulas to the East and West are known as the Wyndryn and Zyzynyk Peninsulas respectively.

    Localized Phenomena

A great migration of Broadheads for their mating season in the first months of spring. It is the longest migratory distance for a species, spanning from the Wyndryn Peninsula, to the Oasis of Xayyx, North of the Saphryn Mountains.

    Climate

Pamyria is unique in that it contains every climate within its domains. Weather shifts are intense on the peninsulas and the southern seaboard, while the rest of the continent has milder patterns. Average temperatures are near 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the Pamyrian Hearth during the summers, though it can reach to low 100's in the Fenyx Desert. Winters are cool and annual precipitation is high.
