The Severed Isles

The Severed Isles are a land of mystery and ambiguity. Shrouded in legends as thick as the fog upon its shores, the lands' history spans from being once part of an ancient human kingdom to the unfortunate consequence of the corruption of Shards. Though the theory that the Severed Isles used to be part of the continent of Volksaar, little proof aside from geographical pairings and sand coloration has been brought forth.
Spun tales and whispers across taverns and bardsongs continue to weave more fantastical stories of the lands' mystical origins, enticing some to venture for hidden treasures and artifacts. However, only a brave few have challenged the violent seas of The Open Wound that seperates the enclave of islands from Southern Volksaar, even fewer have returned.
