Sahn

The Sahn are the halls of the Amaranthine Sepulchre of Jeharoa that connect the various rooms and buildings within the temple complex itself. Acolytes and parishioners meet here before going further into the temple.

Purpose / Function

The Sahn are the connecting porticos and halls that lead to the various buildings and rooms of the Amaranthine Sepulchre.

Design

The complex is made up of over a dozen small buildings with the halls on the first floor connecting directly to the streets themselves. Wandering these halls is like navigating in a forest of copper-green columns and pale gold limestone chambers; almost feels like a subterranean courtyard. Temple acolytes, mainly dragonborn, dressed in long black dishdasha greet you with quiet salaams and welcome you to the sahn of the Sepulchre. Around their necks they wear silver torcs with amber-eyed snake head prongs. They direct you to three places within the temple: the mihrab, the abadon, the prayer halls.

Architecture

The Sahns walls are made from a pale golden limestone and the roofs are supported by columns of copper-green spiraling serpents. Much of the decorative designs for the structure are geometrical spiraling motifs that evoke Kōsism's connection to serpents and cyclicalism.
