Day 1
2000 of the best soldiers our tribes had to offer have gathered here in the camp made to prepare the expedition. From these 400 of us will be selected by my chief Ignis. These numbers would not last if the Verduras found out we are coming from the beginning, but that is exactly why the force is so small. Yeah right, the only thing we can hope for is that chief Ingis doesn't snore to hard to reveal our position.
Day 2
We have entered the jungle 30 km from south from the camp. We should be able to just head East and find some good way points the army can follow when they follow us. Many of the 400 Chosen have been in good spirits since we enter the jungle. Maybe a bit to good. They are loud and wine is royally passing through the camp as if we already returned from our mission. Well i guess it would be better if all the alcohol would be gone by the time it will matter. ....... Damn that is some good wine.
Day 5
I found a new favorite food here. It looks like a...uh ..... i have never seen anything like it before so guess i can't answer that, but it is delicious.
Day 8
It all has been going smoothly for the past week, but nobody is really that cheery anymore. All we do is march. Day in Day out with nothing to see but trees and leaves. Sometimes i just think about burning it all down. just one burst of potent
Lux and it would burn for days. However that is not an option cause this is a stealth mission. HA as if Rosans could ever sneak around, especially against the masters of sneaky peaky themselves . We are just lucky this jungle is so huge that even the Verduras wouldn't find us anymore, but is guess that was the plan anyway.
Day 11
I finally understand why the Verduras really on their rivers so much. This land will get to you after walking for days and not seeing were you are going. The lads are worn out, well mentally that is. A Rosan's body can march for a 1000 days if need be, but his mind need to dream of something when doing so, but no one can do that when all you see ARE BLOODY TREES.
Day 14
So the wine is still around, but chief Ignis seems the only one still drinking any. Nothing can bring that woman to down. always talking about the spoils of war we will find, the exotic meat we will conquer, the mountains of silver and gold we will take from those peace loving green heads. And you know what she is damned right. Guess i will go on an expedition for wine tonight.
Day 15
Seems Rosa... uhhhhh chief Ignis is finally rubbing off on everybody else to. They are drinking again.
Day 18
Aaaaah don't you just love the smell of blood and fire in the morning. We ran into a group of Verduras that was patrolling the area. We were able to sneak upon them. Nobody at home would ever Ever believe me if told them this. Further it seems that i am not the only one being thrilled by having seen combat again. To bad there weren't enough for everybody. I just hope we didn't let anyone go or this could really come to bite us in the ass.
Day 19
Talking about bites in the ass the suckers here are as big as a...... medium sized animal. I have never been good at names.
Day 22
Damage report we lost 39 of our boys last night. Seems like we let one go. These damn Verduras sneaking straight up to our guard and just taking them out without even giving them a chance or a single sound. The most frustrating part of it is that we weren't able to take out any of them cause they only took out the guards and then left. We all woke up without the slightest clue that for the entire night we were completely defenseless. Rosa is not happy, but i think that has more to do with the wine being stolen. Yeah they took her wine. Whoever did that has some big balls.
Day 23
We have started to burn burnt the jungle. Now that they know we are here there is no point in hiding. Oh btw Burning this wood is HARD even for my ....special flames.
Day 24
They struck again, but this time we were ready. 348 of us remain.
Day 25
We found a river. It is likely that this river leads to Odetal Doir. We are all in high spirits to see something else then trees and mud. This is were is gets hard however. The Verduras will now get desperate to eliminate all of us. That won't happen no matter how hard they try we will push on.
Day 26
They are getting desperate. We are definitely getting closer. They are attack almost none stop now, but most of their forces are militia's or at least not the master assassins that killed an entire Makil Division in their fortress during the Imperial Civil war of 30 years ago. Our number now count 309, but I am sure they have even more casualties.
Day 27
Quiet. To quiet.
Day 28
We found it alright. What a Amazing place to see, but what we found there was no good. We saw Grey Capes boarding a war vessel and unloading them on the other side of the river. I think they underestimated our traveling speed otherwise we would have never been allowed to see those master assassins. Many of hoped to take a trophy back home, but there is no hope for that now. If we want to have even a slight chance of getting back home with this information then we have to head back now. Cause our information is the biggest trophy of all.
Day 31
They found us. I was kinda hoping they wouldn't chase after us now that we are heading back to home, but i guess that was wishful thinking. Those Grey Capes came out of nowhere and slaughter about a hundred of us over the past 2 days. You should have seen them. We got a few of them too though. I guess it's hard to sneaky upon us when almost everything around you is burning. That being said, there is noway they will wipe us all out before one of us get back to the Camp. I swear this on my white beard.
Day 35
Finally some rest. They have been hunt us non-stop right now. Normally i couldn't care about having some rest, but when literally every step could be your last not moving around seems not so bad anymore. They have laid down traps all around the jungle and burning them doesn't work apparently. Never thought i would have to rely on chief Ignis to carve out a save way through a trap field. We haven't seen a Grey Cape for days, but they are there for certain.
Day 40
They did it the bastarts. They managed to split us up. I am currently leading a group of 20 and we are trapped in a ruin. This ruin is a good place to lay low for a while, but that won't help us to get out of this situation. The only think i can hope for is that Rosa is still leading most of the others, but we should also try to get back home or we will never know if the operation is a succes.
Day 42
Running from battle. Never thought I would ever do that again. Well last time it wasn't even my choice, but it still feels the same. 3 of the guys i was leading sacrificed themselves to save most of us. I now know that this is probably the only way we will escape. On our way into the jungle there was a small ravine that went on to about 10 km along the edge of the jungle. I think we are close to that point. About a 2 day march. When we get there it will be the end for them and for me. I won't run anymore.
Day 45
Guess this is it.
I got them all. that or they are hiding.
Waiting for me to die.
huh would you look at that my beard is red.
Day who gives a fuck
Ignis here. How dare you to leave me only this you bastard. You know if you were still alive i would have married you. Nevermind the
Achromos you were three times the man of all those Coward warlords of the council. Rest well my beloved *
