Saltown

Saltown is not a single settlement, but instead a caravan of people who travel around the Birds' Nursery collecting minerals. Those who are born among the caravan workers tend to stay. However, most of the population is transient and comes in and out depending on their needs. Elves, demons, and angels are all part of the caravan and work together in order to survive.
In general, the caravan consists of five to six hundred housing carts, each holding an average of four people. Sometimes these are family units, at others they are friends or simply roommates who have decided to live together in one cart. Along with these, there are four hundred transport carts which are only used to hold the minerals found during their journey around the Birds' Nursery.
During the mating season, the caravan leaves and travels around the wider continent to sell their goods, stock up on supplies, and acquire new people for the coming year. Those who wish to leave Saltown are free to go, but often return later. The average person remains for two years then takes a year off in their hometown other location before returning once more in the third year.
The caravan was one of the first places to be accepting of hybrids after they were thrown out. As there was already a large collection of differing species, a new set was not seen as odd. They also had tried to stay out of the war as much as possible so did not hold the same prejudices as settled towns which were badly affected. As such, they eventually became extremely important in the Hybrid Revolt, mostly working as suppliers and transportation for the rebel army.
