Showdown in the Gorge Report

General Summary

Having had a final and very much crucial amount of information from the banshee Cassandra Phylitha, the Scuffling Partizans decide to circumvent the Wizard's Tower completely, and instead ambush the expedition party returning from the north. They stealthily sneak around the tower, and find a narrow passage between steep mountainsides where they await the group of The Black Robes expected to arrive at any moment. The plan is to capture one of the mages and take him to Neverwinter to be interrogated. The Partizans are understandably reluctant to get into a lasting battle with strong enemies in these hostile surroundings. They decide that this plan takes some planning on the home front as well and inform lady Vandala Maz'Trawa that they intend to arrive at her temple shortly. The ambush is well planned and by the time the group of wizards come into view, pretty much all the adventurers are hidden behind large rocks. Only the ones with the most skill in spying peek around the stone to see the composition and arrangement of the their prey. Once the targets have moved into range, the surprise attack unfolds quickly and efficiently. One of the mages walking in front of the group is paralyzed and an invisible Scaramouche Fan'dango runs in to grab hold of him. As he does so, he immediately teleports to Ehlonna's Grove. The group, almost surprised at the immediate success of their plan, take a few precious moments to prepare their own travel and arrive inside the enormous tree in Neverwinter a little later.
