After a few days, the wizard Dzaan was convicted of the murder and publicly burned at the stake. Gareth is convinced that they got the right man, they always do, but he is concerned about the circumstances surrounding Dzaan. Gareth also asked the party to do something for him in exchange for one of Dzaan's magic items. A tenday ago, 4 highly skilled anglers went missing on Lac Dinneshere. He would like the party to find their bodies and figure out how they died. He is willing to let the party use a boat when they are ready to begin their search. Upon hearing about another peculiar murder in Bryn Shander, he and the party traveled there to investigate. After checking out the murder scene, he revealed that Speaker Danneth Waylen had been accepting bribes to escape the monthly sacrifice.
