Dzaan

Dzaan in a powerful wizard of the Arcane Brotherhood. He is currently staying at the White Lady Inn in Easthaven. He has a bit of a superiority complex to him and often talks down to people. You can tell he is hiding something, but he is overly cautious and guards his secrets well. Recently, he has asked the party to search for a chwinga, an elemental spirit of the arctic wastes, and return it to him alive. Upon completion of this task, he offered to pay the party 150 gp and allow them to keep the magical lantern of tracking. The party questioned his motives, but ultimately accepted the quest. When the party returned to Eastaven to deliver the chwingas, they were just in time to witness Dzaan being burned at the stake. It was recently discovered by Garreth that he was involved in something quite larger than just the murder of Belna Snowroot. Not only did the man kill an adventuring party after completing a task for him, he also had many books and journals about the Frostmaiden and something called Ythryn. The connection is still unclear.
