Sheriff Markham Southwell

Sheriff Markham Southwell captains the guard in Bryn Shander and acts as the head of its militia. Having continuously been re-elected Sheriff for a decade running, he has the trust of the townsfolk. Known as a paragon of justice, even in the other settlements of Ten-Towns, he can be quick to anger but is slow to action. Prior military experience has tempered him to always doubt, but demand proof before condemning. 
A man of middle-years, his dark complexion is a rare sight outside of Good Mead. He keeps his head shaved, even in this eternal cold, and can often be seen running a gloved hand over his bald head when considering his next course of action. His stern brown eyes have caused more than one criminal to confess through intimidation alone.
