City of Embers
Once a city of the Conclave of Races, it was destroyed during . It was the capital of the Emerald Wood linking all of the cities of the wood to the rest of the conclave, and was the main source of wood during the inital construction of Quine.
Since then none that have traveled to the city have ever returned. All attempts of divining what is there drives those spellcasters mad, leaving no memory of the experience. There is an ongoing reward for those who can go to the city and return with the Emerald Crown, the crown worn by the leader of the city before the Dragon War begun.
Demographics
Government
The city was the capital of the Emerald Wood, and so was run by what was known as the Emerald Crown. Several Kings and Queens ran the Emerald wood before the conclave was formed. Overall the area was taxed by the crown, but the laws were controlled by a council with the Crown at its head.
Defences
As with all cities in Itherion, the City of Embers had walls. These walls were stone that were harvested from Sundering Mountains.
Industry & Trade
The Emerald Wood was largely a lumber and hunting economy. The people were some of the best hunters and lumberers in Itherion. They intimately worked with druids in order to maintain the balance of the ecosystem.
