Eruption of the Red Dragon

It was an era of prosperity. The Conclave of Races had seen 137 years of prosperity. For many within the Emerald Empire had no reason to suspect that the day would be like any other.
A boom erupted with such ferocity that it shook the furniture in people's home. As they looked out of their houses, the sky rained with ash and soot. The sun grew dark as a cloud of ash and debris soared into the heavens. It was like the world was ending.

Manifestation

On the day it erupted, people as far north as the Heartlands could see the cloud of ash spewed into the skies. Lava rolled down the mountain and into the The Emerald Wood. It devastated the area, a catastrophe in itself.
But that was not the worst. The eruption of the Mt Fierhgston awoke a terrible beast within. A massive Red Dragon came with the eruption. It was Imperium, He Who Takes, one of the primordial dragons. This would kickstart a conflict known as The Dragon War. Mt Fierghston would be renamed The Red Dragon as the eruption brought forth the destruction of the Malachite Dwarven Fortress.

Localization

The tail end of the Sundering Mountains above and below the mountain had been altered completely. The devastation to the Emerald Wood before the Dragon War was enormous. It destroyed many settlements of the Emerald Empire.
