Resvaria-Beshtar Conflict
As far as border-conflicts go, this was a strange one, even by Nemosian standards. This small-scale war broke out over multiple strategic positions on the border between Resvaria and Beshtar. Both sides attempted to seize territory of the other which they had claimed. Admittedly these fact are the norm for this kind of dispute and how exactly things ended up happening as they did will likely be subject of debate between scholars for years to come (I personally subscribe to the Boredom-theory).
The Conflict
Prelude
The conflict was preceeded by multiple political slights from both sides and aggressive posturing, along with shows of military might and readiness, ending in a mutual declaration of war.
Deployment
Both nations deployed their troops in small- to medium-sized groupings along the border. Larger groups were place in places of strategic importance and close to the claimed territories.
Battlefield
The border between Resvaria and Beshtar is primarily flat plains and farmland, meaning most battles of this war were fought on flat, open terrain.
Conditions
The seasons in the years 99 Ard. to 101 Ard. were quite mild, resulting in a surprisingly low amount of casualties from environmental factors and things such as disease.
The Engagement
During the years 99 Ard. and 100 Ard. engagements took the form of small skirmishes between groups of mostly infantry.
The truly notable engagement (and likely the one you are reading this article for) was the Battle of Admein. In said battle the group known as the "Cursebearers" took part and reduced the armies of both sides by an estimated eighty percent and supposedly eliminated the entirety of both sides' leadership.

Outcome
Neither side could leverage their claims and both sides lost major parts of their armed forces (along almost the entirety of both sides' leadership). This lead to a short period of confusion and unrest within both the militaries and civilian populations of the involved nations, which luckily stabilized relatively soon after.
Aftermath
As of right now it seems that both nations have adopted a more peaceful stance towards each other. Most consider this a major improvement over the previous relationship between them, which could at best have been described at very strained.
Historical Significance
Technological Advancement
During the last battle, two bright flashes of light were seen. These were supposedly connected to a new type of arcane weapon, which had been employed by a force of mercenaries (rumored to be a small contingent of the Imperial Pertentores Corps) that had been hired by the Resvarian crown. The exact details are unclear, though reports tell of a cannon-like contraption, which fired was at one of the Cursebearers.
