Jungle Cat Legion

The Jungle Cat Legion defends the Colonies and the nearby islands that are under control of the Empire of Illyria.  They maintain a small land force with appropriate amphibious capabilities should they be required to deal with any foreign powers or rogue pirate activity that impacts the imperial goals in the region.

History

The Jungle Cat Legion is the newest Legion in the empire, established to protect and defend the Colonies and other imperial interests in the Tre'am Archipelago.  The founding members were drawn from the Wave Crest Legion and the Arcana Legion as well as select members from the remainder of the Imperial Army to provide a solid foundation to grow their base capabilities.
During the Undead War most of the Empire's military focus was on the battles on the eastern boarder and the Legion received only minimal support from the mainland.  At this time, the majority of the recruits for the Legion were drawn from the local colonial population.  As a result, the size of the Legion declined during this period.   But following the conclusion of the war, the Imperial Army worked diligently to bolster the ranks of the Legion and bring it back to full strength.
