In the summer of the third year of the Undead War, a massive host of the dead emerged from the desert and surrounded the newly founded Fort Marin.   The dead surrounded the walls of the Fort and even the might of the Imperial army were unable to break through to relieve the defenders in the Fort. Still, with the help of the Arcanum, magical teleportation circles were established from the garrisons outside of Illyria to help reinforce and support the besieged Fort.
