The Arena
This is the primary place for all major functions in the city of Affgroth. It can hold several hundred thousand people, and is sometimes entirely full.
It hosts entertainments two to three times a week, and will even host multiple activities a day during the Kinsfire Festival. Activities include:
- Goat races
- Drinking Competitions
- Feats of Strength
- Feasts
- Smithing Competitions
- Public Punishments
- Fights
- Cooking Competitions
- Debates
- Hearding Competitions
- Outside Entertainment from elves, halflings, orcs, and even occasionally gnomes.
Purpose / Function
It is the primary place of all public goings-on in Affgroth. It can hold several hundred thousand people, and can sometimes be entirely full.
Architecture
The main floor of the arena portion is just below the main floor of Affgroth, but it is hollowed out all the way up. It is in the form of an upside down cone, openning up as it goes out, and has entrances and exits on every floor going up and up to the top of the mountain. There are dwarven lamp-stones scattered throughout the stands, and massive glowing crystals on the ceiling high above the central floor of the arena.
