Hess the Doll
Hess is a small doll
Kathy possesses to keep herself company when she feels alone.
Appearance
Hess is a small, stuffed doll made with brown Agiperkhi, a soft fireproof material. The doll looks very crude, and has an abnormally large head and small body; it looks as though it was made by someone who had never made a doll before. It is a very simple doll with a stitched face and no clothing or accessories.
History
Heilla felt bad for Kathy as she often experienced terrible nightmares when she was alone so decided to give her a gift to help her cope. The youngling snuck into the human realm and searched everywhere for an appropriate present. Eventually, she spotted a little doll on the ground.
Excited, the youngling grabbed the doll and went back down to Inferncenem. Unfortunately, before Heilla even touched the ground, the doll caught fire and burned into a pile of ashes. She was extremely upset but still determined to find a gift for her best friend. After some searching, Heilla found some Agiperkhi fabric on the ground and an idea popped into her head: she would make a doll for Kathy; now all she needed was some stuffing and a needle and thread and she knew where she could find them. So, she ventured into the dark network of caves known as the Beasts Region.
A couple of minutes later, Heilla frantically flew out of the cave clutching some wool, hair and a quill in her hands with three livid
Beasts in hot pursuit. The youngling lost them after flying through the thick bushes marking the border of Succubus Cove. After catching her breath, Heilla sat down and got to work using the Agiperkti fabric as the doll's body, stuffing it with the wool and sewing it up using the quill as the needle and the hair as the string. The resulting doll was quite ugly but the younglings didn't care. Heilla named it "Hess" and gave it to Kathy who gratefully accepted the gift.
Importance to Kathy
Throughout the 76-year-long ownership, Hess served as an object of comfort to Kathy whenever she was alone and warded off her awful nightmares. It also strengthened Kathy and Heilla's friendship.
Kathy still has the doll to this day.
