Merga Miriniay by Zutnebas, Nxwedaye is a lazy, sadistic and malevolent being who watches over sinner souls and laughs at their suffering.

When a new sinful soul arrives at the entrance of Merga Miriniay, a calming but guttural voice calls out their name before an unseen force pushes them into the abyss; this is the work of Nxwedaye. While working on their assigned task, one constantly feels a looming presence, and there are moments when they swear they saw a pair of bright green dots seemingly staring at them.
Personality
Nxwedaye is often viewed as lazy, letting his minions, the Nephittes, do the task assigning and torturing while he simply watches in sadistic amusement with his buddy Zutnebas. He is also unapologetically crude and often makes inappropriate jokes about Ynlawnx and Junii, even in front of Ameuses' children.

He mainly lurks in the shadows but when he does show himself, one is faced with a hideous, wart-covered creature with a crocodilian face, a massive hunchback and small, clawed hands and feet and the powerful stench of rotting flesh and blood.
