Republic of Verreya

Lush, rain-drenched forests coating the sides of steep mountains near the coast stand in stark contrast to endless expanses of plains in Verreya. Most of the nation is a patchwork of countless agro-forestry farms stretching to the horizon, and its agricultural industry is unrivalled in the Federation. This has earned it the nickname "The Breadbasket of Lavenna". While this fertility and agricultural potential would've allowed it to prosper for centuries, the region has suffered greatly for generations. Its wide fields and plains, while offering vast areas of arable land, also made it a tempting, and often easy, target for foreign invasion. This has been seen as recently as the Continental War, in which the Seriphanese swept through Verreya with astonishing speed after overcoming the Merkostas. It has often been aptly named "Lavenna's Achille's Heel" and for good reason. Any land invasion of Lavenna would likely be focused on Verreya.
Despite their geographical shortcomings, however, Verreya is home to a rich, diverse melting pot culture. The Vastonyan capital, Marvesto, once the seat of the Empire of Novosta, is one of Lavenna's largest ports of entry. More immigrants are processed here than any other city in the Federation, and it contributes heavily to Verreya's age old cosmopolitan culture.
