Guilbury

Guilbury is a new city, barely seventy years old, built as a showcase of Newian skills and artistry by the royal family eager to raise Newia's standing in the world. To live inside the walls is considered quite the status symbol, and only Newia's highest ranking nobility can do so, although most also have property elsewhere. Non-residents without a permit, such as to visit the Palace on official business, are forbidden entry through the city walls, and some species, such as orcs and tieflings, are often denied entry even with the proper paperwork.
The Great Weston Road passes through Guilbury, but most traders are forced to go around the city walls, using sub-standard roads, unless they are well known (and well connected) Dulendians.

Demographics

The vast majority of Guilbury is made up of ethnic Dulendians, with a marked prejudice against anyone not of Newian ancestry. Other groups do exist, but are mainly extremely high ranking within their culture with access to the Royal Palace, or are essential servants to the nobility.
