Rom Laren (a.k.a. "The Raven")
Eventually the seasonsed Scormpian criminal Rom Laren, known to many as simply "The Raven", took Rodan under his wing. Rom taught Rodan many of the skills that make Rodan such a successful theif, and Rodan quickly become Rom's second-in-command.
As he grew older, Rodan's ambitions grew too great to be held in by Skormp's walls. With Rom Laren's blessing and advice, Rodan set out to build his own glory and fortune, seeking to find the infamous treasure of the Doresak Desert.
The Nest
Hideout of Rom Laren "The Raven" and located in the North-East of Skormp in the Squalor, adjacent to the wall separating it from the Archeology Ward. Two cloaked creatures stand guard at the door which is an 8' circle. Within is a bar filled with seedy and shady characters as well a one-eyed goliath behind the bar. The Goliath will allow people to pass through a door behind the bar if he chooses, which leads to a long narrow hallway terminating in the real "Nest". With strewn treasures and intricately carved furniture, this is the inner sanctum where Rom and his trusted advisors reside. Other facilities branch off of here, but the main room is where business is conducted.Mental characteristics
Personal history
Rom Laren's history that he has shared begins with frequent stints in and out of the stockades in Skormp. Petty thievery, con games, and everything between brought him deeper into the criminal underworld. As Rom tells it, they graduated to a "higher form of crime" after a transcendant encounter with a Raven - the bird stared into their soul, the very core of their being, and they realized they needed to become legend and myth. With this, "The Raven" was born. The stockades became a distant past as Rom adopted the moniker of "The Raven", even becoming so bold as to leave a calling card after crimes, the skull of a Raven.
Rom freelanced for many years, forming a small group of thieves they loosely referred to as "The Nest". They eventually joined The Copper Claw but with the condition that they be allowed to continue their freelance operation seperate from the rest of the Claw.

History
During a Nest operation stealing from the Spice Estate in Skormp, Rom nearly was caught when he fell into a laughing fit as Rodan Spice tried to pick pocket him instead of notifying his parents or the guard. Several days later, Rom showed up in Rodan Spice's room and offered to begin mentoring him. From there he grew him into his second-in-command over several years until finally sending Rodan Spice out to "grow his own wings" just as Rom Laren "The Raven" once did. If he will have an encounter like Rom did with a Raven waits to be seen.
