Session 31: We Can Do Cannibalism Again
General Summary
The session began on the morning of BriskWind 22, 2597 in the Ziggurat in the Ruins of Silan with the cold water rushing out the door of the Diving Bird. As water filled up the chamber, the party downed water breathing combinations while those who could became various swimming entities (Wren a dolphin, Kale a little shark, and Tork an octopus). Within the room there was a large stone nest with two stone birds, heads pointing up with their mouths open, a stone fish sawm the perimeter of the room, avoiding anyone who got in its way, and a carving of another constellation, the "Horn of Ale" was on the wall. Through various attempts, the party used dispel magic to remove the water flow into the chamber and in feeding the stone fish to the birds in the nest, caused the nest to slide and drain the water from the room. This also caused the wall section with the "Horn of Ale" to become a door.
The next room featured a table with a barrel of ale, several drinking horns, and a dwarf with a beard that goes down to the floor into a pile. The dwarf challenged the party to a drinking contest to allow them to pass. To everyone's amazement, Oberon downed 17 horns of ales as the dwarf passed out into a pile on the floor. With a touch of lesser restoration from Alena Birch, Oberon sobered back up and the party continued through the trap door in the floor with the constellation of "The Smith".
The room of "The Smith" featured intense heat from a furnace whose mouth stretches across an entire side of the room, a mold in the center of the room in the shape of a hammer, bars of pure silver (6), and smelting tools. On the opposite side of the room was an anvil of pure gold set on the base of some sort of different material that stretched up the wall. Oberon crafted a silvered hammer with magic but then the party crafted another from the materials (this one sung far less and Wren completed it with relative ease). The hammer was then struck on the anvil, fracturing both and the material on which the anvil sat, revealing another door with the constellation of "the Crown".
Ahead of the party was a long narrow room with high ceilings and chandeliers. Opposite of the party was a golden throne rising from the back wall with a gem covered crown of gold on it. After a fair amount of inspection, Rodan Spice sat on the throne and put on the crown, causing the throne to lower and reveal a door behind it to "Rhythm and Rhyme".
This room featured amphitheater like seating with a few dozen spindly desks and a podium in front. Standing at the podium, a person's voice was amplified. Oberon recited the poem "Freaks and Geeks" revealing the constellation "Hourglass" behind them and the door on which it was affixed.
The floor was unstable as they stepped inside the glass orb-esque shape. Once all of them were inside, the door shut behind them, they felt the entire contraption swing as their floor became their ceiling, and sand began filling the room. Tork and Oberon smashed out a side of the glass and the party exited into the cylindrical chamber which held the hourglass. Oberon went up to the next door 40' over the ground and lowered a rope for the party to climb up and into the room of "Antormis' River". Antormis' River as it turned out was a pier on a 30' wide river. At the end of the pier was a boat docked with a paddle, fishing rods, and skulls floating in the water with mushrooms growing on them. Fish were below the surface as Rodan Spice began steering the ship. Wren was investigating the fish when she fell in and was pulled back out by Alena Birch. When coming to a waterfall, Rodan Spice skillfully kept the boat from capsizing and they made their way without issue to the other end. Exiting the boat, they went through a door marked with the constellation of "The Lost Sandal".
In a 100 foot square room with cobblestone floor extending across it, Kale immediately saw which stone was out of place, went over to step on it, and cause a section of the floor to raise and reveal the steps below. At the bottom of the stairs was an archway with "The Lots of Fate" over it.
In this circular space, there were three doors ahead, all indistinguishable from one another and all featuring "Galisnor's Fire" on their surface. Oberon guessed a door and found the next room. Wren at this point tried another one of these doors, unleashing a ravaging energy upon them.
Once everyone made their way into Oberon's room, they found themselves facing a large brazier of brass burning brightly in the center of the room with a rainbow of different colors. Oberon determined the fire could be removed by profaning divinity to please Galisnor. To do this, Oberon caused a minor illusion of Antormis to appear where the God of death slipped on a fruit peel, was kicked by children, shit on by a donkey, and eventually buried in a grave. This did the trick and the fire was extinguished to reveal a door below to "The Dead Tree".
"The Dead Tree" was not so dead when the party descended into it. Alena Birch skillfully climbed down a tree while the rest of the party feather fell. A lush stand of pine trees stretched in all directions while nearby was an elder tree, perhaps 25' in diameter. After searching for already dead trees, including Wren summoning several wild creatures and Tork throwing his axe into the woods, Oberon sundered the elder tree. Once dead, its bark broke from the necrotic wounds to reveal a shimmering portal beneath its bark with the constellation of "The Jumping Fish".

"The titan Tloj is said to have once nearly killed all fish through his power. Use the power of Tloj that remains to make the fish jump."Oberon remembered that Tloj used thunder to try to kill all the fish, and used thunder based magic to cause stone fish to rise from each fountain. Kale took these and placed them in slots he noticed on the far wall. Once all four fish were inserted, a section of the wall moved as it featured the constellation of "The Diamond". The party entered through this doorway. The session ended mid afternoon of BriskWind 22, 2597 in the bowels of the ziggurat in Silan with the party continuing their way through the constellation maze.
