Knight Captain Sir Aerys
(a.k.a. The Turncoat)
Aerys Gray was Knight Captain of the 13 in the Harsh Age. He was a man of honor and skill. He served King Arin, and his son King Rolant. He had fame and purpose, but he threw it all away in the Kodiak War. During the war he served King Rolant till the very end, but when Prince Faron stole into Castle Brun Sir Aerys rather than fight off the rebel prince, stood down before him. He betrayed his King and ordered the Knights of 13 to stand down. He believed he was doing the right thing, but when Faron became King he did not like the idea of having a traitor serving him. King Faron punished Aerys for his crimes and had him executed.
