Tapli

A small city situated on the eastern fringes of the Solanaveldt, Tapli was once known a the place to obtain large amounts of timber due to it's closeness to forests outside of the area. Due to the amount of timber coming in, and the amount of food going out to surrounding areas the city came to be known as the "Green City." Over time the city's inhabitants starting introducing natural elements into the area, including letting a river flow freely without dams or mills & growing trees and other plants into and around buildings. Due to these policies Tapli has become the largest grove in the Solanaveldt, and a large number of these trees are Black Locust and Honey Locust trees. Thanks to the honey the tress provide, Tapli has become the unrivaled producer of mead in the known world.

Government

Tapli is run by a democratic executive body known as the Dulcet Assembly . This government functions by voting on all matters of importance, however votes can be transferred to others to vote in your stead. Every citizen under the Dulcet has suffrage, including women and children although children's votes tend to go to their parents. Citizenship is granted by being born to two citizen parents or by the Assembly agreeing by a simple majority you should be a citizen.

Defences

Talbi is a peaceful city, crime and acts of unprovoked violence are rare here, in the rare circumstances when disputes need to be resolved or laws & claims enforced citizens can turn to the Alderwards . Surprisingly this concord translates into it's relations with other nations as well, as it has never formally been attacked by it's contemporaries. There are no walls or any other real tangible defenses, but Talbi stands as the only place of true peace in Solanaveldt.

Industry & Trade

The majority of the city's inhabitants are directly connected to the mead industry. Arborists are constantly maintain the trees as well as other plants to ensure the ecosystem of Tapli is healthy, brewers take great pride in the recognition and wealth one can obtain for having the tastiest mead in the land, and merchants are always here to transport the golden nectar as far away as Duzanteer.
