Xunos

Xunos, the Eldest of the Gods, is the deity of Light and Life. He stands as the creator of the sun, a brilliant celestial body meant to bring light and warmth to the world he formed. However, in his overzealous desire to bring life and radiance, Xunos unwittingly initiated a crisis: his unyielding sun was threatening to consume all life on the planet.   Prideful and fiercely independent, Xunos initially believed he could solve this predicament on his own. He was determined to preserve his creation without seeking help or compromise. Day by day, the relentless sun scorched the land, withering the earth and draining life from the creatures. This continued until his wife, Ondra, intervened.   Ondra's wisdom and cool-headedness compelled her to create the moon and the oceans, bringing balance and salvation to the planet. Though it was not Xunos's idea, he eventually recognized the necessity of his wife's actions. He understood that his unyielding pride nearly resulted in the world's destruction.   Xunos, in his holy book, acknowledges this profound revelation. It is a testament to his ability to learn and adapt, even for an ancient god. The passage signifies his realization of the value of balance, cooperation, and humility in preserving life. It serves as a reminder of the dangers of excessive pride and a tribute to Ondra's crucial role in restoring equilibrium to the world.   Xunos now stands as a god who embodies the importance of harmony between light and darkness, life and death, and the recognition of one's limitations. His followers honor this balance and venerate the sun as a symbol of life, always mindful of the delicate equilibrium that maintains the world.
And it was on this final day of creation that Xunos looked upon his creation and noticed the true power of light. As the world burned he realized that simply making it rotate would not be enough to spare it from the ferocity of his sun.
