Dagu-Dagu (dah-goo-dah-goo)
Dagu-Dagu are lagomorphs found in the Icecrown Mountains up to a height of 4,500 meters above sea level. They are commonly kept as pets and warning systems by the Icecrown Dwarves, Icecrown Giants, and Icecrown Trolls in the areas which they are found. When startled or alerted to danger, the Dagu-Dagu lets out a piercing shriek that can be heard for several hundred meters and, yet, holds nearly no chance of triggering an avalanche.
Appearance
The Dagu-Dagu is a large lagomorph covered in dense fur that is tan or white in color. They have a very round body and short limbs. Their ears are large and rounded. Like other lagomorphs, Dagu-Dagu have large incisors and no canine teeth. The bottoms of the Dagu-Dagu's feet are covered in rough hairs, and they have no paw pads. One thing that makes the Dagu-Dagu unique is the mane-like ruff of long, thick fur around their necks.
Diet
Dagu-Dagu are omnivorous, although they prefer to eat plant matter. The primary item in their diet is grass, but woodier plants are also common. Dagu-Dagu will, on occasion, eat the meat from birds or fish. The ingesting of red meats is an extremely uncommon occurrence, and only happens in times of famine. Dagu-Dagu will not hunt, but will scavenge the kills of other creatures.
Behavior
Dagu-Dagu form large communities with other Dagu-Dagu. These communities commonly also include any other creatures the Dagu-Dagu of the community become attached to regardless of species. There have been at least three instances of rocks becoming a part of a Dagu-Dagu community.
