Heiress Shields

A small force tasked with the protection of Niswin's heirs and several sacred grounds of the dwarves. A Shield is usually recruited from other standing military forces, often via letters of recommendation.

Structure

The leader of the organization holds the rank of "Guardian", while other members hold the rank of "Shields".

Public Agenda

The protection of the current heiress, Lyesri, as well as the defense of several dwarven holy grounds are the main tasks assigned to the members of the Shields. The Guardian is granted the honor of being the heiress aide and personal bodyguard, while other members often patrol sites such as the Clan Mound, Niswin's Light and the Spire.

Assets

Members of the Shields are well-equipped, having access to some of the best dwarven armor. Their weapon of choice is the mace and morning star, but may wield spears under some circumstances. The organization does not have its own funds, instead being supported by the Nine Houses in an as-needed policy. The group's headquarters lie in the Spire.
